It was great to work with you, I appreciate the work and effort you put into the Advisory Council. You all represented well. I'm leaving today, so I thought I'd write up a thank you note to all my buddies here in the Advisory Council.

BETWEE A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE is a story about surviving from a trip through the wilderness that went terribly wrong. It is funny, honest, realistic, and adventurous! Very light reading, about 200 pages. I recommend it to everyone who enjoys the wilderness. The book is by Alden R. Carter.

two suggestions:

1: Make the "Recent Photo" button larger so that new comers can find it w/out difficulties.

2: put up the O2 videos on the website, in a eye-catching spot. I think videos and photos can sell O2 much better than words

Well, we all had a meeting yesterday (Bob, Matt, Jessi, and myself). We drafted our events for this summer, and I thought you'd all like to know what's up!

If there is anything that you'd like to be implemented, or are -very- excited about, tell us ASAP! We're going to try to mail the full summer update this coming monday. Any changed will need to be made QUICK!

Here's the list of day trips (not completely final, but pretty accurate):

I love Denny Creek. It is a pretty easy hike when it is a hot day, it is great. You can wade in the cold water and slide down the rocks to cool off. It was one of my favorite trips that I have been on two times. It is a very relaxing place to be.

I think we should find a group of people that can commit such as the council or other participants and save enough money to take a trip to a location outside of Washington. For instance, THAT group of people can participate in fund raisers and maybe later we can fly or drive to Colorado for a week long vacation or backpacking trip. Or maybe the Carribeans for a week of relaxing.

Whenever the update comes it never seems to surprise me with any of the events. There should be more interesting things that happen. For example, during an overnight trip we can go scuba diving or go collect oysters and cook them later or on a boat overnight or skydiving or explore a cave or something new.

There should be more days of snowboarding!!! For example, instead of just Thursday we can make it Wednesday and Thursday or Tuesday and Thursday. Something like that because that's the most fun thing O2 does.

I know this isn't that big of a deal but the camp long van is kind of nasty. I think it would be cool if we decorated the outside of the van and cleaned the inside a little bit. Or even get a new van, if thats possible and if we do decorate the van it might attract people towards the program. Ionno it's just a random thought

New T-shirt Idea... Recruitment

In the Advisory Council, we came up that the t-shirts are not selling o2 as we would like. We wanted to talk about a new t shirt design that does not have the logo on the back. Maybe on the front or on the left chest area. Or if students want, they can recruit with brochures and posters but the posters and brochures are for the students to pass out at school. (word of mouth is the best way to recruit people)

Any ideas?
